Breathing Apparatus Training (BA)
Course Details:
This course provides the learner with the knowledge; practical skills and understanding to wear a self contained breathing apparatus and be aware of all the rules regarding its safe operation.
Objectives of Course:
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- To wear a self contained breathing apparatus and be aware of all the rules regarding its safe operation.
Programme
- BA – set description and ancillary equipment
- Pre use/donning/doffing procedures
- Elementary physiology of respiration
- BA – control procedures
- Practical exercises wearing BA
- Cleaning and servicing of sets
- Post test
- Course review and close
Who Should attend
ERT Team members, ERT Team Leaders, Plant Facilities & Plant Technicians in the workplace
Pre-Course Requirements
No pre course requirements but English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter this can be arranged with prior notice which must be given to Doyle Health and Safety.
Assessment/Certification
Participants would be required to complete a questionnaire.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion of the course.
