Chemical Awareness Course
Course Details:
This programme is designed to train participants how to handle chemicals safely.
Objectives of Course:
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- List routes of entry of chemicals into the body
- Identify health effects of chemicals
- Identify warning symbols and read relevant product warning labels
- Use an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
- Identify and use different types of available personal protective equipment (PPE)

Who Should attend:
Non-specialist staff who need to recognise, assess and protect themselves from chemical hazards in the workplace.
Pre-Course Requirements:
No pre course requirements but English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language.
Assessment/Certification:
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion of the course.

1/2 – 1 day depending on requirements
