Emergency Response Team Training (ERT)
Course Details:
This course provides the learner with the knowledge; practical skills and understanding to a level of competency so they may deal with and manage both minor and serious emergency situations.
Objectives of Course:
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Deal with and manage both minor and serious emergency situations.
Programme
- Overview of relevant legislation
- Cause and cost of fires
- Understanding fires:
- Fire classification, physics & chemistry of fires & spread of fire
- Introduction to breathing apparatus including basic search and rescue
- Theory of Fire Behaviour (Back draft and Flashover)
- Fire hose drills
- Responding to & dealing with chemical spill (theory & practical)
- Introduction to confined Space rescue (theory and practical)
- Course De-brief
Who Should attend
ERT Team members and ERT Team Leaders in the workplace
Pre-Course Requirements
No pre course requirements but English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter this can be arranged with prior notice which must be given to Doyle Health and Safety.
Assessment/Certification
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion of the course
